Here, we introduce a case where ceramic thermal spraying was used to solve such wear issues. ■Challenge We want to implement measures against wear in the lip seal area. ■Proposal We propose coating with a compatible ceramic to extend its lifespan. ■Effect The durability increased to more than twice that of conventional seals, which was greatly appreciated.
